Testo: Dear Sir We are a diversified , Family owned , industrial group in India , established in the year 1908 , with head office at Kolkata . Moreover we have a strong presence in Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan. We have successfully worked with number of foreign partners from U.K., Italy and Japan. Presently we are working in association with MOSA SPA , OTC Daihen of Italy and Japan for Welding equipments and with ICM Srl and Marcantonini Srl for our Crushing Equipment and Mobile Batching Plant . AGROTOURISM :: Our’s is a family owned group and the location we are talking about is our 22 Acre Farm House, just on the northern fringe of Kolkata. It is our old Farm House and we attach lot of sentiments to this Farm House. It has some basic infrastructures viz tractor, pumps, water reservoir, a big two storey building. This farm house namely grows, Paddy during the rainy season and other crops viz. Maize, Wheat, Mustard, Vegetables etc. during winter and summer. It also has coconut trees , Mango Trees etc and Fishing . However these are not professionally grown or arranged .Keeping in mind the available facility , our idea is to base the project on the cultural and Agricultural exchange between any two countries and we prefer Italy and India . As both the countries are having lot of things in common, so if we can intelligently offer food, Type of Stay, cultural activities, music of both our countries along with on hand experience of Ploughing with Tractor, flower cultivation, paddy / Mustard / cultivation, Fishing, Milking cows, Animal Husbandry etc. then we can design a package for such experience. Moreover the Agro production of this project and production of the other country can be exchanged for sales in both the countries and also for utilization in the said project .Now to prepare a skeleton format we can think of such broad headings :1Social & Cultural Exchange :(Foreigners love to experience the Indian way)Vizly, Religious functions, marriage, Birthday, handicrafts of both countries2Exchange of Typical CuisineTypical East India Food and East Italian food3On Hand experience and Training on Agricultural Activities, Diary, Fishery and Animal Husbandry, Bullock Cart ride etc.Paddy cultivation, Jute cultivation, Mango orchard, coconut trees, Banana Plantation, pulses, vegetable etc. and use these for own consumption.4Small cottages with Italian Village environment and typical Indian village environment where both Indians and Foreigners can experience . 5Inhouse cultivation for export to Italy and also import from Italy for the Indian market 6Arranging for Corporate Program , Meetings as the location of the project is easily accessible . Also organizing Village Fairs with National and International participants .The project site being just 18 Kms from the heart of Kolkata city and also within the main city infrastructure .Other than item 6, 5 and 1 we can prepare a package for the experience . Item 1 shall be on extra cost for people who wish to experience or learn such things addressing them as (a) A Non Indian (Preferably Italian) experience (b) An Indian experience. Item 5 will be a separate business centre where we can not only grow but also subcontract to other farmers in India for bulk export to Italy. Item 6 will be a usual package for programs and meetings conducted in natural surroundings . This can be an attractive proposition for professionals who are generally experienced to have only closed door meetings .Also Village/Agricultural Fairs for generating additional revenue.Above is just an idea and we are open for discussion. We feel that going about it in steps will be good . This project can be registered with major Tourism companies of the world for successful marketing.Presently we wish to look into the possibility of a partnership with a company , preferably Italian , who has the experience and willingness to come up with ideas and also invest in such a project. Obviously the terms and conditions for such partnership can be worked out after the initial interest and also the mode is discussed. The investment to such project is very important and we are looking for the same from our partner. Our Farm House proposed for Agrotourism has lot of strengths to offer but there are also weaknesses . We wish to offer our strengths and combine the same withthe strengths of our partner to make it a WIN WIN situation. We being a Engineering Group can also accommodate Agro Equipment, viz small / medium size Harvestors (for Paddy, Wheat, Maize, Mustard) , Soil preparation Equipment etc. under any overseas manufacturer to make the project more interesting .
