Testo: Our company was established by the Government of the Republic of Serbia 30.07.1952. as the merger of two water communities with the aim to defend the Belgrade area of the harmful effects of water. Organization and company name were changed in accordance with the legislation, and since 1999. has operated as a socially owned company "Beograd vode" (“Belgrade Water”). By decision of the Belgrade City Assembly of 29. February 2008. it was organized as a Public Water Management Company "Beogradvode", founded by the City of Belgrade. The predominant activity is flood defense and the construction of hydraulic structures. The company performs the tasks of water management in the city, maintenance and reconstruction of water facilities, organization and implementation of flood control, drainage of excess water, development of feasibility studies in water management, maintaning the watercourses, as well as the regulation and maintenance of water lands. The company is able to design and build systems for protection against external and internal water, systems for irrigation and drainage, regulation of water flows, dams, ponds and other works in water management and construction. Company within the defined obligations, in accordance with the applicable Water Law performs: - water management in the city of Belgrade, - preservation and reconstruction of water facilities, - organizing and implementation of flood control, - water flow regulation , - maintenance of water lands. Functional jobs imply a permanent presence in the field, monitoring the phenomena of interest for water management, perception of problems to be solved, the initiation of proceedings to resolve them and direct contact with customers. In addition to these tasks, functional tasks include preparing the foundation for the development and implementation of water management plans and feasibility studies, harmonization of water management with spatial, urban plans and projects in the field of reclamation and other drainage areas, implementation of programs for monitoring and measuring water levels and consideration of changes in the water regime. Works on regular maintenance of water facilities include: - removing sludge and sediment from the riverbed, - removal of vegetation on ebankments and in channels - maintenance of access roads, - repairs minor damage on slopes of the coated stone or concrete, - chemical treatment - collecting waste from watercourses and water lands According to the laws and regulations public water management company founded by the City has clearly defined responsibilities and the most important are the following: 1. To take care of the proper utilization, maintenance and protection of water structures for regulation of watercourses and flood waters of the second order (jurisdiction of local community) - there are more than 180 torrential watercourses in almost all of 17 city municipalities 2. To conduct drainage structures that are in public ownership and is responsible for their intended use, channel network (Makiš, Obrenovac, etc.). 3. To conduct dams with reservoirs (dams Resnik, Bela reka i Duboki potok) 4. To carry out flood protection at the water streams of II order in the city of Belgrade. 5. To execute rescripts of water inspector in accordance with the Water Law 6. To perform the removal of the vessels in accordance with the decision of the municipal inspector, according to the City Plan Some of important jobs of JVP "Beogradvode" were: - protection of right bank of Danube in Zemun - “Zemunski kej” - emergency repair works on the right bank of the Sava River in Obrenovac from km 2 + 250 to km 2 + 650 , Sava from km 29 + 500 to km 29 + 900 (Obrenovac), after 2014. flooding - urgent repair works on the defensive wall and right bank protection of the river Sava in Zabrezje (from km 0 + 400 to km 0 + 460) in Obrenovac (2014. flooding). - urgent repair works on the left bank protection of river Tamnava from confluence to "Ćeman" bridge in Obrenovac (2014. flooding). - urgent repair works on the right embankment of river Trstenica (from km 0 + 600 to km 0 + 616) and left embankment of river Trstenica (from km 0 + 600 to km 0 + 622) Obrenovac (2014. flooding). - during the flood defense in 2014. repairation over 30 destroyed embankments - repairing funded by the Office for assistance and rehabilitation of flooded areas - repair works on Kolubara embankments in Lazarevac community, funded by UNOPS (donation of British Government 1.000.000 pounds) - regulation of torrential streams (water streams of II order) in Belgrade area We are serching partners fos projects now.
